A child's preschool teacher can make a lasting impact on that child's future. 

All faculty at MLK Montessori School are highly trained and experienced with childhood education. All Lead Teachers have college degrees and the majority of the assistants have as well. Each Classroom Lead Teacher is Montessori trained at the preschool age level.  All faculty participate regularly in professional development.


My name is Miss Robin. I am the head teacher at MLK. I am the lead teacher in room 103. I have worked with preschool children since 1995, and I started at MLK Montessori in 2005. I graduated from Ball State University in 1990 with a bachelor’s degree in Education, and I completed my Montessori training in 2008. I love spending time with my family, ballroom dancing, animals, butterflies, and exploring scientific concepts.

My name is Ms. Quay. I am the assistant teacher in Room 103. I have worked with preschool children since 2001, and I've taught at MLK Montessori since 2013. I finished my CDA (Child Development Associate Credential) in 2015. I like pets, spending time with my family, and music.

My name is Mr. Noah. I am the lead teacher in room 104. I received an Associate’s degree in Elementary Education from Ivy Tech in 2020. I chose MLK beginning June of 2021, and I completed my Montessori Certification at Trine University in 2023. As for my hobbies, I am a nerd in almost every way. I am a comic book collector, space enthusiast, movie/series binge watcher, dabbler in wood working, and saxophonist. I also enjoy spending quality time friends & family.

My name is Miss Maddie. I am a co-teacher in room 105. I graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2021 with a B.S. in Elementary Education. I taught second grade in Logansport, IN for a year and now I'm so excited to be at MLK! I started my Montessori training over the summer and will be completing it over the next two years. In my free time I love to read, watch movies, listen to music, and I love theatre. I also have two crazy kittens at home. 


My name is Ms. Zoë. I am the school Resource teacher. I am passionate about keeping families and teachers connected! I began teaching at MLK in May 2021. I graduated from IUPUI in 2016 with a BA degree in Urban Elementary Education and a minor in Fine Arts. I am currently working on my Masters of Montessori Education. I enjoy gardening, photography, reading, art, exercising, and quality time with friends and family.

My name is Mrs. Myrna. I am the co-lead teacher in room 101. I have worked in Montessori schools since 2007. I began working at MLK in September 2022. I completed my Montessori Certification in 2018. I enjoy spending time with my family, going on road trips, reading, and gardening.

My name is Ms. Teresa. I am the co-teacher in room 102. I graduated from Talladega College with a BA in English. I have been teaching preschool for 2 years. In my free time, I dance, choreograph, and write. When I am not in the classroom, I am a loving mother of two boys, 3 years old and 4 months old.

My name is Mrs. Lexi.  I am a co-lead teacher in room 101. I received a bachelor's degree from Purdue Fort Wayne in 2021 in general studies, with over two years worth of education credits. I have been teaching since 2017. As for my hobbies, I love to read books and spend time with my family. I am a huge animal lover, with five of my own pets.

My name is Teacher Kaylee. I am the co-teacher in room 102. I graduated from IPFW in 2019 with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology as well as a Bachelor's degree in Women’s Studies. I started my journey here at MLK in November 2022 and have always enjoyed working with children and their families. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my loved ones and my pets. I am passionate about helping my community and being creative in various ways. I am always learning and always growing and enjoy watching my class learn and grow alongside me. 

My name is Ms. Celina. I am a co teacher in 105 Kindergarten-First grade classroom. I graduated from Ball State University in 2019 with a BA in Elementary Education and a concentration in primary. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my loved ones. I’m passionate about art & often find myself drawing or painting. I hold strong values in creativity and curiosity. I hope to incorporate these into my teachings as students have a natural inclination for discovery.
